Summary of Teaching Philosophy:
I am a passionate educator who firmly believes that his role is critical to developing students' souls, spirits, and minds. The way I treat my students gave them complete confidence that I am their second father, and they can approach me at any time for any issues, whether academic or non-academic. I addressed many cases where students came to me with some challenging problems with their families or friends. The guidance, support, and solutions that I provided bring peace and joy to their life.
I have transformed many courses into more interactive, practical, challenging and stimulating courses. I employ Problem-Based Learning, Case-Based Learning, Task-Based and Project-Based Learning to ensure that students understand and apply rather than recall. I always avoid helping students be content recallers; instead, I help them develop their critical thinking and analysis capacity. I take the student profile seriously from day one in the course to better understand their strengths and weaknesses. Understating the students' profile is a factor that I use to split them into heterogeneous groups, where strong students support weak students. This philosophy is also cascaded to the 60 students that I am currently advising.
The head of department observations, peer observations and students' evaluation of my teaching quality and commitment are well-appreciated and acknowledged, as all my observations were scored as excellent by the observers. The students' end of course evaluations is consistently above 4 out of 5 points.
Evidence: Prof Sam letter, Dean of CoBA letter, HoD letter, Appraisal reports, observation reports, students’ evaluation reports, email and messages from students.
